individual persons. Each master have his or her own reasons to fight or not to fight. A Necromancer raised within a raging war, seeking to become the best mage will likely be very hostile. As with all classes and races it depends on your role. Masters are not, inheritly, non-hostile. The meet in the tower to studie and thats the only thing you can be sure they all do. Everything else is up to the role of the master.
