I think the masters are ok the way they are right now.
My char took on three ragers with powers at the same time, and we all were equally hurt(writhing) when I fled, and I am a transmuter. One of them were a little hurt before, but anyway.
If they were even more powerful before, I cannot say, I was not a very good player at that time and never joined a cabal.

Oh, by the way, thanx to the Immortals for doing a great job.
