I understand the reasoning behind vain-knife's post. And I can agree with it...in part.

But the whole thing just seems to me to be a little bit like making a mountain out of a mole hill.

People mention the words "hate" and "anger" alot here on the forum (myself included, I admit)...but it is a game.

I dont really "HATE" it when people get by with lame names...infact...I almost always get a good laugh out of it.

I understand that if you REALLY don't want people to get away with the lame name thing...pray about it. I agree that that is the best way to get the char denied. I am not saying "don't do that".

what I am saying is basically this.

If you are standing on the corner with 3 friends...and you see a guy in an armani suit walking down the street...with his fly open and a little pecker hanging out... What do you do....

1) do you point it out to your friends...and share the laugh..

2) Do you call the cops and have him arrested for indecent exposure.

I guess it all has to do with how mellow your outlook is on life (given, everyone is human, and everyone can be pissy and chose #2 every once in a while).

Granted...80% of all "Lame name" posts were stupid, sophomoric..and an attempt at char assassination where it would have done better to just pray about it...

But what about those of us who just see a name that makes us laugh..and wish to share the laugh...no harm no foul?
