Yo, You get dodge at level 9 and shield block at level 10. Perfect them both once you hit level 10... before you rank to level 11. This is so that you avoid the PK factor. Go to any area, won't matter if its out of the way or not (because you won't have to worry about PKers), and find a lot of low level creatures. Forest of Nowhere in the Past... Jibberlings... Kobolds... Whatever won't be able to touch you, but then again that you won't kill in a few hits either. Use a practice weapon. It won't help you learn dodge/shield block faster, but might as well get a few points in your weapon of choice. Grab a shield, any shield... doesn't really matter. These two skills (along with parry) get perfected very easily... Get a few dozen mobs on you and just sit there... if the one you're fighting gets low in health, and you don't want it to die.. use the HIT command and switch to another. If you're fighting 10 small guardians and 10 tiny guardians, and the tiny is going to die.. just type HIT SMALL. Not many people use that.
