Let me tell you a little story... Yesterday I was concerned that newbies trying to find the kobolds in the new area (which is a fine area and adds depth to the game...yeah Kastellyn) might wander into part of the area that would likely kill a young newbie. So, I spoke with another immortal about it and made sure that the newbie2 helpfile (which incase you haven't looked at it gives directions to places someone new to the mud and learning might find helpful) had been updated with the change so that new and/or veterans that were playing young characters could find the kobolds. Someone had already thought about it needing to be changed, and had already done it...but after more discussion the wording was changed further to make it clearer and safer to find. Personally, I think landing yourself in an experience hole with a newbie sucks and was trying to take steps to help people avoid it. End of story. When I saw the question on the forum (which I thought was a reasonable one because it wasn't especially intuitive and I don't think the kobold cavern is suppose to be an elite place that needs to be hidden), my first thought was to lay down a reference to the that helpfile since I knew it had been updated. In fact, I didn't even know that helpfile existed until I became immortal and thought it was a fine thing to tell everyone about. Sincerely,
