That is how Ingvar saw things, but there is some leeway. Braerus was an Arbie and Voice (before Scarab was a cabal), to illustrate that point a bit.

> In addition... who should they and shouldnt they group with? It's my perception that anyone chaotic and freewilled should do... but reading some things it seems that even Barons and Scarabs don't get along much... Why is that?

Group with anyone that you want. The caveat, of course, is that you shouldn't want to group with a lot of people. Look for people who are independent, strong-willed, and don't want power over you. People like yourself, I would hope. Never beg or compromise, and never be begged.

Entropy was probably the only cabal Ingvar got along with well. (Masters, to a lesser extent.) Ingvar didn't see a conflict there, but other roles might have.

> I don't care about the powers... I realy respect this forum for NOT putting the powers up there, because it hasn't been the driving force in me wanting to learn about Scarab.

That's probably a good thing. They're neat, but I don't think they are meant to be Sylvanesque beatdown powers.

> Should I put something in my role about other cabals, and outlooks on them? (Learning through childhood how imperials are in essence mindless drones... and such?)

Your role, regardless of who your character is, should imply or state something about what type of people you like/dislike. (Excerpts from Ingvar's are on the Char board, as one example. Keep in mind that his outlook was somewhat unusual, based on interactions with 40+ applicants, very few of whom saw things his way.) My 'cookie' post actually contains quite a bit of Scarab philosophy... just pretend Ingvar is ranting about something other than cookies, and ignore that Cyradia bit.

It is a challenge. It's also quite fun, and very different form the other cabal experiences. Both IMMs are demanding, but rewarding at the same time.

I won't ask.
