Im not a imm, but ill tell you what i know. PS: At worse you can always send notes to and from your god, I sent about 10 or so i think at one stage with BoltThrower. Its possible.
You can roll up a new paladin if you want to.
What will restrict you the most is which sphere-Imm you want to get empowered by. I chose a immortal who was realy about at the time, so i had to spend alot of time to get empowered, if you picked a common god like galad, or shok's you could get empowered easily, As for only playing on the weekend that is prime time for empowerment. The imms are also haveing a weekend so can be on any time.
As far as i know you only need your imm for, Empowerment, and bonus prayers/skill allocations, Tho once empowered you can hero, the bonuses are dependant apon rp.
