> When they came out with scouts, defenders, and berserkers, they always intended for berserkers to be the majority faction. That's the reason that the skills don't seem that useful at first, but if you combine a defender with a berserker or a scout with a berserker, you can see how much nastier it is then having two berserkers. Think of scouts and defenders as support chars with berserkers being the main military force. Scouts being the avant guard and defenders bringing up the rear. They're of course not going to get much glory, but the true ragers know how important each and every one of them is. That's how I've always seen it myself. A village full of barbarians like at the beginning of Conan. You had those ugly scouts coming up at the beginning to relay the setup of the enemy and basically what they should expect. The scout was quick and able to evade trouble with less trouble then the others ie spell evasion. Then the main force came in, mopped up, and took the spoils. The defenders then came after to see what aid was needed. I'm rambling now, but basically defenders will get the least respect from people outside the village and the most respect from villagers themselves. Scouts played right should "scout" and make sure everyone is aware of the situation awaiting them. Berserkers should do what they do best and kill everything in sight that gets in the way of their goals. Anyways, opinions may vary, but that's how I saw the changes when they came in and having played all three different rager groups; each one of them serves a purpose.
