Does ac really matter? I 'know' someone that is decked quite nicely. They are a Hero and changing eq/weapons will only result in the loss/gain of minimal hp/mana (less that 50 either way). My question is this hero has upward of -400 ac. If he were to have only -180 or -200 but had the same clothes/weapon would it matter? Does he take less damage due to the higher ac? Most of the posts here downplay ac and say to go for +dam, +str, +hp, or +mana. What's the real story?
