He then heads to a place he deems sufficiently evil. He prays that he is ready, and chooses the name "Nation Cleaver" (I'm sure he'd come up with a better name). One of the Imms at the time takes a look and approves of the name and see's that in his permanent record Zulgh is noted for being a fantastic RP'r. So because of this, and the large number of charges in the Axe, the Imm changes the weapons name, changes it's damage type to fire, grants it the ability to cast controlled fireball in combat at randomn. and could even add a sentient aspect, where the weapon will say things like, "This enemies weak, let's go Anathema someone!" > Also Paladin's who sucesfully destroy an artifact could recieve a reward. The reason for the quest is to give the AP time to get his weapon back, and add some spice to the game. I see so many RP angles in this, and it will add a unique and interesting twist to AP's. Plus I've got all these quality weapon names I've always wanted to use. > Keep in mind that the added powers would only be a reward for excelent roleplayers, most would just get a cool name, and a weapon that doesn't get destroyed as easy. > FLAME ON YOU CRAZY DIAMONDS.........
Unholy weapon is overpower in my own eyes and ...
the only thing that keep it balance is the fact it can be destroy.
but it may be interesting to change the destruction code so it get harder for someone to destroy it.
ie: like a paladin would have to remove taintbefore you can sacrifice it.
> Sadly the number on cause of AP death, Suicide.
> Even the greatest of players cannot handle the tremendous depression that follows the destruction of thier Unholy Weapon, but now thier may be some help.
> At the Rank of Hero any Ap can bring thier Unholy weapon to a place of great evil, and by praying to the dark gods to enchant thier weapons will recieve a unique weapon. The Player would request a name for it, and perhaps even submit a description, Any Imm who is about can answer and if they like the name can use that, or make up one of thier own for it. The Weapon would be augmented by the Roleplay of the character, the better the Characters Roleplay the more added bonus's the Imm could add. This weapon when sacrificed would only loose 1/3 of the souls within and return to it's owner, of course they Ap would still take the UNSPEAK from it. The only way for it to be permanently destroyed is by a Paladin, who would have to go on a small quest to do so. But if it is destroyed this way, The AP instantly dies, looses a complete Con point, Ages some from the strain, and the AP gets only one Unholy Artifact so that would be it.
> Of course this is an extreme example, 90% of weapons would just have a unique name. Zulghinlour gets gangbanged by Maran's and his axe get's taken, Among them is a Paladin who takes the weapon to his shrine and casts remove taint on it, he then is told to visit three Mobs(Randomnly selected high level lightwalkers). When he brings the Axe to each they cast a spell on it, when he visits all three, he waits till the Full moon and then casts remove taint once again at his shrine, but just as he arrives at his shrine he is met by Zulgh and the whole Imperial army, who slaughter him and take back the Axe.
