xp penalty whereas some lessor endowed classes have them? That means I agree with the rough ranking in terms of "power." But my take of the xp penalties is that these are in place to create a level playing field in terms of who can pk whom. Necro is great, no xp penalty. Ranger is towards the bottom and has an exp penalty. Necro vs. ranger is pretty much a no-brainer, the necro will most likely come out on top (assuming we are talking about higher ranks here). In any event, the xp penalties need to be tweaked to restore this balance. The necro-ranger example is one of many. The race penalties also need to be tweaked. A final example, an elven ranger vs a human trnasmuter in the high ranks. So the elf is at about rank 35 and the trnasmuter can have 8 or 9 levels on the ranger. This menas the ranger is dead. So much for xp penalites levling the playing field pk-wise...

So, I've given up on all characters except human mages. There is no substitute, incredible "power" no xp penalty. Why bother playing anything else?
