300 was just a base number that came to my head... I meant more along the lines of an amount that would be average for each rank (it slowly increases as your rank does). But hey, i'm sure getting xp from slaying puppies is much more realistic than gaining levels from mastering how to move silently. > Level 4 Assassin. Sneak. Hide. > 1% -> 100% (easy enough) > 29,700 per skill. > 59,400 experience. That's about level 14. > Okay, not everyone is going to perfect things from 1%, but sneak and hide are two of the skills that stand out as that being fairly easy to do... and with a 300 experience bonus per raise that's a huge incentive. > No but seriously... 300 is ridiculous. I think it's what now 20? I haven't checked in awhile. Last time I checked was when I needed 46 experience to rank and was being hunted, figured if I closed a rank in between me and my hunter it might help out so I spammed sneak a few times. *grin* I think it was 20 then. > Anyway, I would agree with keeping it at 20 (realistically that's 20*25% = 500 experience) and maybe giving a bonus of 100 or something when you perfect something. > *shrug* > Zepachu. > > Would anybody else support gaining like 300xp per improvement when practicing? It certainly makes sense, in ic terms, and would motivate people to learn their crafts more. Also, it would be nice for when you just can't find a group and decide to go work some skills/spells.
