I guess, just sucks that common things like loosing your link, lag, etc. can wipe out through no fault of your own hundreds of hours of painstaking player killing and surviving all those risky player kills. ;):

> Both the tomato and the apple are shiny and red, and possibly (depending on season and ripeness, green). Both look relativly tasty just hanging around, however both are quite different. Other than spouting basic grocery shopping tips, what relevance does this have? I shall explain....the One Ring, and an ap's unholy weapon..are both shiny and powerful, and both are pretty tempting to destroy...however here's the difference. The One Ring, was forged by something akin to a god's apprentice (read the Simirillion if you haven't)..well, okay not forged, but created for, imbued with power from..etc...and was a work of Tolkien. An ap's unholy weapon is a object of power created by a very mortal mortal with a little help from dark magics...and some lucky soul stealing....it's also a work of CF.

> Now to put this into a rp'ing sense, there are many ways you could think of it...I'll offer a few:
> 1) The weapon and anti-paladin are connected by a link that weakens the weapon physically, yet allows spirits syphoned into it to strengthen it. When the anti-paladin falls in combat, that 'seal' is weakened...and the souls released and seek vengence upon the anti-paladin.
> 2) The spirits syphoned into the anti-paladins' weapon are compelled to strengthen it, yet hate every moment of it (much like djinns and djinnis) so as soon as someone tries to free them, they fight with them and do what they can to harm the anti-paladin with a sort of psychic feedback on a spiritual level.
> 3) The person picks up the weapon and in a complex (or simple) ritual, sacrifices it to thier god...who becomes outraged for whatever reason (souls not being given to thier dark purposes, the balance being corrupted, or because they're a giant silver arial with a dislike of anything evil, or simple because it'd be a hoot to) and then that diety takes vengeance out on the anti-paladin.
> 4) The dark gods and dark powers the ap calls upon have a wicked sense of humor.

> now, if you're just looking for a basic reason of why it's like this...simple, an ap can create a weapon of ungodly deadliness...the drawback (since we all know nothing is free) being, if he ever loses possession of the weapon...the reckoning is going to be ugly.
