...there are various tactics that can be used. In the higher ranks I always attempt a kotegaeshi first... once they have a broken wrist, the tide does turn in your favor. If not, kansetsuwaza them... or else throw, trip, whatever... to keep them in the room. Obviously this is if your assassination attempt doesn't work ;-)In the lower ranks it's a lot less complicated... caltraps/whateverKickRepeatedly (maybe even throw a disarm in there if it's above 85% at the time). In regards to perfecting skills... I usually play Felar Assassins, so it's a little tough to keep up with all the skills. No matter what the case is, I usually wait till level 24 (ground control) before I even THROW at all. This is to maximum the learning for throw/ground control at the same time. They both raise pretty quickly, and you have better things to work on. I usually wait till 15 before I go and master parry/shield block/dodge, because of unarmed defense. I do them all at once usually. The pattern changes briefly... once I hit 30, I go off and practice backfist. I normally (as any of my characters, in fact) don't stop to practice. I rank when I can, practice when I can. But as an assassin I wait till level 30 then while practicing backfist I go and master kotegaeshi and kansetsuwaza, if they're not already. I always use kotegaeshi once I get it... it's an extremely important skill... master it ASAP. Same goes for kansetsuwaza. I remember when assassinate used to work on mobs, but oh well... now the only way to "master" it is to try to assassinate someone. It goes up VERY easily. If you keep up with your kicks, they are very important... the rising phoenix kick at 46 is formidable indeed. It's your call. Assassins are perhaps one of the most independent classes out there, prepared for almost any contingency. Always start with caltraps. :-) It helps. -Zepachu. > I'm kinda curious as to what you more skilled players perfect as an assassin. Also what skills you depend on as your bread and butter. Obviously this would change rank to rank, but any kind of suggestions would be great. Thanks ahead of time
