For one, if you're being hit by fireballs (a relatively low level spell) you probably can't easily gain access to the heat resisting armors. Running is a good option, but invokers are particularly vuln to being lagged. Since arials are the only flying invokers and none gain bash shields for a long time, lagging them comes easily enough (especially if you've got a pal to put the hurt on while you lag.) Lastly, their touches can be vicious against elemental vulns... if you noticed them going to punches in combat, you have an advantage... Their spells will be weaker and their hand to hand damage manageable. Since invokers can't cast 'channel heat' in combat, that's their most vulnerable time at low levels. However, as with any race/class you aren't sure you can win, running is generally a good option:) Lastly, don't forget, felar=water_vuln but you won't have to worry about that (unless you're on the water) till about level 43 when you'll start seeing engulf and geyser soon after. Good luck... Vokers can dish out some damage:)
