> This wasn't really my reasoning... warriors in general, unless you play a exclusively-gangbanging Imperial or bar-sitting Trouper, have a tough time keeping gear in general. As far as getting gear goes, unless the mob breathes, a hero Rager is in good shape for the most part. My "re-equip" run as Dhaevor basically entailed killing Lunn, the barrow-wight, and every big Mortorn mob on the lower levels, except Graazur and the dying demon, and it was quite doable solo, starting out in a naked state. No way I could've done any of that as a near-naked non-Rager warrior. Of course, it's a given that invoker/muter/healer support allow others to tackle things Ragers can't even come close to touching. For example, I once had the clever idea of leading a large Rager party to try and kill Ertruza. Bad, bad, bad idea. As Peroleth, I just grabbed Ambros and it was basically a joke. Your mileage may vary. Personally, I'm still at the stage where I tend to die a lot more than I should as a rager warrior. My nonrager warriors stopped dying very often a few years ago. I'd probably get much better at the former (and warriors in general) if I played them more often, but Battle warriors are about the absolute bottom of the fun list for me and I just don't have the kind of time to play everything anymore. > > There are also items that Battle can't use. > This is the reason. Thought it might be. In particular I'm thinking of one almost ridiculously nasty and inexplicably underused item (it would be the one that would have made me, at least, pick fire over storm or cloud) but you probably have a longer list. The neat thing about that character (if you were to make it) is that because of the item dependence, I'm not sure if it would at all work half as well for any of the copycats.
