I don't know what vaguary Imbrogno is refering to, or under what circumstances Legsweep will work against a flying opponent (via a flying potion and the like), *if at all*, but in almost any situation you can think of, legsweep will not work against your flying opponents. When it first came in, three years ago, it did. But within a couple of months, it was changed. Unless it's been changed again somewhat recently (and has now become THE most underused skill out there), it still will not work.

However, the Imms have broken flying into several categories of "fly" (can't earthbind wraithed liches, for example) so maybe Imbrogno knows of a rare version of flying that is vulnerable to legsweep. Who knows. But I'm not one to spread Urban Legends (cause the 2nd movie sucked enough as it is) so I'll open it to the possibility that there's some weak version of fly out there. But, if you discover this rare sort of flying, I don't advise utilizing it.
