You can use numbers.

Ie, kill 1.goblin, kill 2.goblin. Note the use of the period after the number.

Or, you can just type "murder 1." to kill the first thing in the room, or "kill 2." for the second, etc. This can be risky though, since you never know when something else is going to wander in.

You can also use this for items, for instance, to "get all 2.corpse" when your corpse is the second one in the room.
