> Since a friend introduced me to CF about 10 months I have gone in and out of addiction and haven't purchased any other games. Why should I, what's the point? > My question is, why do I still suck at PKing? I have played a few warriors, thief, necro, transmutter, invoker, ranger and assassin. I know all the races pretty well (strengths, weaknesses), have learned the under 30 level areas pretty well. I know some good places to find eq, can finally lead a group without getting everyone killed, have learned how important it is to practice, what to practice, and when to practice it. I read the forum often which has been a huge help. I've become better at playing a role, have met some really cool people, been in many PK fights, and have been part of the Empire. (Which I thought was a real pain in the ass) > After all of this I still suck at PK'ing. Sure I've killed some people 1 on 1 but most of them were newbie's, killed a few poeple because they lagged which really sucks. I know how long it takes to build a character and to die because of lag just blows. I've also killed poeple with a group but it wasn't my skill which usually won the battle. > To whoever created CF and to all the people who have molded it over time, bravo. I have been a game freak since a kid and this is the best ever. My first Mud was CF and I've never bothered trying any others. Now if my girlfiend didn't hate it maybe I could play more *grin*.
> Everytime I fight someone with some skills I get spanked. It's just damn frustrating. Sure I've learned how to run really well and carry items to negate spells and of course get me home but there have been times when I was the stronger character, better equiped, better weapon and I still have to flee. Is it just time which will make me better or is there something I missed. How the hell do you people track down a fleeing character so well and constantly attack? I know how to use Zmud but damn some of you people are good. Oh yea, I also study my fights afterwards to see what I did wrong. Anything else I'm missing?
