> As of late many a citizen has been sent by the Emperor to retrieve. And, you know what? It's a suidcide mission. So, if you don't go: anath someboy y. But what is the point of spilling the Empire's blood for a hopeless cause. It only weakens the whole lot. Yes, the Emperor is indeed the big boss but... In the end, the Emperor weakens his own Empire by sending coutless to their needless deaths. It's a deathspiral of sorts that only ends when everyone gets the bandwagon going and several peeople join the Empire at once. We've seen these ebbs and flows. Not that this is inherently wrong but the problem with Empire will remain as long as its numbers ebb and flow like the tides. The way to correct this is to rework this anath nonsense. 3 strikes seems a bit lax but seems better than what we have now. Also, perhpas there could be a lesser from of anath. Say you messed up so you would have to do XYZ to be fully re-accepted or some such. Empire needs numbers but these can;t happened when the little they have is being anath'd becasue of the hopeless odds in retreiving leading to people not wisihng to risk certain death. It's not as if there is some reward for retrievng anyway... I would not say retrieval is all that hopeless. What becomes annoying is retrieving only to have it taken away again in five minutes by those 5-6 bored individuals that no one (or one person) can harm. Easy fix you say? Rank up so you can defend? Sure thing, but finding the time that you can rank when you have the codex is a whole different story (see retrieving above). For those of you that say tough titty said the kitty you don't have to retrieve think again--around a week or two ago I think 3 out of 4 imperials were anathamed because they did not retrieve a second (or was it a third) time.
