Afterall, if I hold a cup of coffee(Starbucks cappucino(sp) would be more likely, since I've been addicted to the 3 bucks-a-pop shit since one came to campus) I can probably take a drink of it with my eyes closed and only burn the tip of my nose one in every 10 attempts. > However, I think it would be more realistic if instead of > You are carrying: > You saw > You are carrying: > You can still use them and all, but you have to either guess which is which or quaff all of them until you come to the one you wanted. Smart people would remember what order they were in in their inventory (which would be the equivalent of remembering which pocket you put your keys in and which pocket you put your gum in without having to reach into them) and would have no problem with it. > This system could also be used for pills, staves, wands etc. > You might see > You are carrying: > I never understood why you could find that little flask of liquid but couldn't find and use the 2 foot long gnarled shaft of wood. Scrolls I can understand not being able to use, you have to read them afterall, but surely I can wave a wand around when blind(even if the chance of the spell hitting target is decreased by 25%(4 cardinal directions). Also, if the damn pill is cure blindness(a yellow flower for example) it's actually worth something on a greater level then detect invisible. > I think this would be more realistic as well as more interesting. > Flame on.
