I'v killed more then my share of people. Thieves are hardly weak. You just have to be a bit smarter then someone who bashes repeatedly, spams flurry, or trips. Thieves are very exciting to play. I would carry weapons that would exploit my opponents weaknesses. And I gathered a lot of gold to make sure I could heal quickly and finish the job. No doubt there is not a lot of offense skills to use during a fight..but blackjack someone...bind them...then bs them for a dual backstab...and you seldom need another skill.
