I mean, people have given two very reasonable explanations for flying giants (racial ability) and vanish (smoke bomb). Now maybe they're true, and maybe they're not; I haven't heard a voice from on high ruling either way. Thing is, I can't think of a single non-magical way that a little man standing in the forest can suddenly cause a breeze to turn into a gale, or to turn a cloudy day into a sunbathing opportunity. Ditto with "call lightning"; most people holler at the clouds to zap somebody and all they get is wet. If you've got a rationale, though, then by all means please share it with the rest of us. I, for one, would be interested in hearing it.
