I have to say people not only word quicker, but avoid any "tough" battles all together.:

> As of late (or rather, since this first piqued my interest), it seems every one avoids confrontations. Seeing someone in range nearby puts everyone else on their nerves end, and they flee before a fight even begins. I've noticed that around hero ranks, the ideal is to stay alive and not fight unless the odds sway heavily in your direction. Can anyone say, "Boooooorrrring!"

> Whatever happened to just going up with a few protections and hosing that guy sitting at market square, or the one ranking with two other out of range folks, or the fellow walking down eastern road? I know that for me, I'm itching to fight anyone and everyone, just for the sheer rush of adrenaline, trying out different tactics, or the satisfaction of toasting my enemy. But no, it seems that keeping gear is much more important these days. It's as if the mindset has twisted to 'I have great gear, I must be great' or 'No one kills me, but I've racked up twenty pks (but let's not talk about the four man group with me, k?)' When did gear become the deciding factor on how good a character is?

> Yes, gear helps win fights sometimes, but it is not a necessity. I say we all put down the shiny unique pieces, grab some sea-serpent gear, and go at it. A decked out character is no reason to become static (or better yet, stagnant). Screw the gang-banging mentality, and everyone have a huge free for all at the crossroads. No more of this weak fleeing at half health lame fight-another-day stuff.
