The standards for areas are very, very high, however, and most areas I've seen on other muds would likely be summarily rejected. If you wish to become an immortal, you have to rank a character to Hero (51), and then apply. If accepted, you become a "HeroIMM," and have to write an area. Any further progression is based on what you do, and how you do it from that point onward. > > The reason i ask is I have sadly left the previous mud I played on, which was _excellent_ in every way except that there was 0 priority for making new stuff. I mean areas, monsters, npcs, everything that is there has been there for the last six years at least. It was very fun for a year or so but then stagnated horribly. Then the imms actually started to mudwimp (argh) the whole thing and I bailed. I just wanna know what to expect here, i dont think the answers will stop me from playing this mud for quite a time either way.. :) > -Neilon

> Areas, quests, mobs, items, etc, are all being created on a daily basis on The Carrion Fields. You may not notice somethign new every day, or there may not be a huge new area thrown in every week, but Carrionfields is very much a living, breathing, changing entity. I began playing a handful of years ago, and took a year off only to return to the game this summer; I found numerous changes which I (gladly) had to adapt to.
