Recently, my ISP has become *horribly* unreliable, it drops my connection several times a night, for anywhere from 30 seconds to half an hour, upwords of an hour once. 99.9% of the time when I reconnect, it gives me the "That character is already playing" bit, etc etc, and often enough I wake up at the pit when last I knew I was peacefully walking down a road, or some such. Is it just me, or did it not used to do this? I seem to remember way back when, if you lost link, you dropped right away, and came back to the "reconnecting" right where you left off at. I even seem to remember being VERY surprised once when I lost my link, and reconnected to find myself still walking with my group isntead of standing link dead. Maybe I'm just imagining things. But it sure takes a lot of the fun out of mudding. According to those bastards at AT&T, its a "known problem" in my area, with "no eta on when it will be fixed". Bah. Thats my complaint for the night. I'm going to do something less frustrating. Jal
