Sometimes the clues given in a religion's helpfile just aren't enough of a hand-up to find the shrine you seek, while other times they are. Some, like Nepenthe's are just incredibly vague(which you'd expect of course). So here's an idea. There are some mobs out there that should just know where a shrine is. The mob would be different for each religion(or not if the religions are based around a common denominator) and would respond to questions relating to the location of a shrine or to questions about a god in general. For example, it's very likely that any well-known dwarven mob might be able to give hints about the location of Boltthrowers(though there isn't one), Holtzendorffs, or Thror's shrine. Any well-known elven mob might be able to give the location of Galadriel's(though it says right in the helpfile), Stellyx's, Bria's, etc. Basically any well-known race mob will likely know the location of an immortal's shrine if that immortal is part of a member of their race. When I say well-known I mean a high-ranking mob. The mob needn't necessarily be in the racial hometown. There are well-known elf mobs that aren't in Darsylon for example, and well-known dwarf mobs that aren't in a dwarven area and so on. Just a thought while I wander aimlessly in search of a shrine.
