I do like the influx of newbies myself, its always good to add to the playerbase.
And the new quest is wonderful that is for newbies, rolled one up to try it when I heard a rumor about it, it really does teach them how to get around a lot better than they otherwise would.
As to the roleplaying needing to be learned by them, just keep being good examples and they will pick up from observing.
