little easier. Well, as with the staff, the playerbase...the game itself has grown up a lot. Is this bad? I don't think so.

I think maybe it is bad. The atmosphere of the game has changed from a relaxed place to hang out for a while have some fun and if you died or got pk'ed most of the time the pk'er wasn't an asshole about it and someone would help you out with gear or something. Nowadays the roleplay demands are much higher. Heaven forbid your empire character does something nice like offer encouragement or advice to the total newbie you just killed. Players horde information so they can be this so called 'elite' why? So they can be totally untouchable? Eventually the people that reach this stage get bored realise there is no challenge left and delete. Time demands are also greater in the game now, you need to go right away and your cabal is in the middle of a raid? You'd better be ready to accept the consequences of quiting out. Why can't you log in for that spare half hour you have? It's like an obligation once you log in that you have to stay for an hour or more especially if you're in a cabal and frankly that's not fun.

Is CF a more fun place to be than it used to be?

For the experienced medium to heavy time players, perhaps.

For the experienced light time players, I say no.

For the new players, no.
