1) No, you weren't. You were playing your human master conjurer [whose name is deleted in the interests of keeping this post on the forum], at least part of the time, and sure as hell didn't seem to have much trouble getting on the all time hero PK list in a fairly quick time.
2) You're right. When conjurers came out and their elementals hit for DEMOs at 20, and you could get shrouded level 58 nightgaunts that would haul you off anywhere at level 40, not only was that completely balanced, it was never changed. Riight.

I don't mean to insult you personally here, but I don't think it would be possible (literally) to find a player who experienced conjs when they first came in and thought they were balanced. Maybe there's some amazing imm perspective here, but considering the fact that they'd been toned down like 6 different times (I can name 5 off the top of my head), one would think that might indicate some disparity in balance.
