Home Towns-I loved the Wood-elves home towns. I was thinking do the same for other classes. Open up kiadanna Rah, the Underdark cities, the lake for storm giants, and Gehenna to Orcs;) Make a small village or stronghold for cloud giants, and duergar.
The mobs there would be non-agressive to that race as well, up to a point. The lower levels would be off limits in Kiadhna Rah, first house in the drow city, etc. I think this would help flesh out the races much better, and be great for Roleplay.

Guilds as practice centers- With such a stress on practice these days, it would be nice to have alternate and more roleplay friendly ways of practice.
In guilds you could perhaps pay guildmasters for more training, in wich you'd be put through a series of emotes. Maybe you'd have to fight and beat a mob, relating to that guild, or get a spell component as a mage. The cost is what would keep this from being to easy to do. You'd have to join that particular guild, and the cost would vary from city to city based on quality of the guild. The cost would be based on character level * 50,000 gold and could not be joined until the 20th rank. The higher the quality of the guild the quicker the character learns, and the more expensive it is. High quality guilds might have extra perks, like thier own mercs, sell magic items only to members, etc. Also, give out guild memberships to people as Roleplay rewards. A person would only be able to practice in a guild 30 to 50 percent in any one skill once per 5 ranks. It would add such a dimesion to roleplay and take away some of the boredom of practice. I always thought guilds be abit more important.
PS Shape shifting would not be one of the skills you can practice.
