I've run several human warriors. Same roll.
Same (practice / non )weapons. I've tracked
my statistics. No appreciable difference.

The low levels don't use a level 10 weapon
all that well, and their mistakes allow them
to improve. Using a non-"practice" level 10
weapon with no bonuses yields the same perks
as a "practice weapon". I have read on the
forum that your use of weapons is somewhat
level-dependent. You use your weapons more
effectively when your level is close to or
higher than the weapon's; for damage at least.
I've found that improving in the weapon is
the same regardless of it being "practice".

YMMV, but IMHO they aren't special.
