As a gnome I won't be doing to much damage. I can only wield small light weapons....probably a mace, so I can wear a shield or something. Does hit roll affect how often my skills and sup's hit, things like fireseeds and Sunray or does your skill percentage take care of that. And a side note on that luck stat...does anyone really know exactly what it can affect?
