The newbie channel is one of many things we intend to continue using, however, there are periods during the day and night when no imms are present for one reason or another. I regularly listen to the channel and know that many other newbies are quick to offer assistance, but also know that misinformation is frequently given. The newbie Q&A is one other avenue to help bring our new players up to speed quickly and provides another resource for them to attain information.

Back when we first started, OOC venues such as the various forums were few and far between, but in this day and age people seem to turn to forums and websites first before trying to find answers in the game.

This was something of concern when we went down this path of discussion a few months back, and I can assure you that we don't really care about your IP information. As I stated, and was previously quoted here, only I have that information right now, and I have a lot better things to do than go on witch hunts. I'd rather be coding or doing other things to make our players lives better.

With regards to control theory, I have already laid down some rules for all of the immortals on what goes and what stays. It's never an individual decision either. The rules you find are similar to the ones here, as we feel these rules have served well for sometime now.

With regards to our business structure, I will tell you all up front that we have 2 goals by forming a company. 1) make the mud self-sustaining by selling t-shirts, and other various things to cover our operating costs, and 2) to copyright some of our intellictual property as a group rather than as individuals. If you want to believe otherwise, that is your perogative.

I will be glad to field other conspiracy theories should they arise.
