Go to any local blockbuster video, there should be a costomer service 1-800 number listed. Here is what you do. make sure the employee helping you isnt a moron (more than half of them are) or just ask for the manager, but do this on a weekday in the early afternoon, preferably monday or thursday (as that is the time they are least buisy and will be more willing to help you out without getting pissy). Tell them the name of the film and have them look it up in their computer, and then have them write down the part number of the film. Then ask to use their phone. Call the 1800 number and there should be an option where you can see if any blockbuster in the world has a copy of it. Write down the address and phone number of the blockbuster that has it (in my time there, if it wasnt nc-17 or X, only one film could not be located this way, and I did this probably more than 100 times on some of the most obscure movies you can think of). give the Address to the Manager, and ask them to have that store UPS the movie. I would suggest standing there while he makes the call so it doesnt get put off and forgotten. Blockbuster will UPS the film from any store for free unless the movie has more than 5 rents in the past month. It should take between a week and 4 weeks. Make sure you let them know if you just want to rent it, or you want to buy it, because the process the 2 store managers go through is different for each. Other than that, if it is out of print it is out of print. The last Blockbuster avenue you have would be to get a listing (I think you would have to call the regional blockbuster manager) of the suppliers who ship the movies to the blockbuster stores, and call each of them and ask if they perhaps any copies still lieing around.
