The odd thing about the Sylvan Cabal, is while a good potion of them are bloodthirsty fiends, all of them are quality roleplayers.
Agreed on all counts. The deathsquads started about 3 seconds after Flonty's furry ass hit the forest floor. The new Sylvan deathsquad is competent, and can certainly roleplay well enough.

Exactly. If I tried to get an AP into Masters, a Shaman into Battle, or a Ranger into Empire..... even if I could roleplay it, what would be the odds I would get in with a full set of skills/spells? I'd expect to lose something. Sylvan shamans don't even seem rare anymore. It always seems like they have one or two. How many druids do they have?

As is, it works a lot better there, but it does work often enough almost anywhere.

This wouldn't matter so much... it might slow them down, but when they're in a pack of four or five, the wall isn't what kills you.

I'm all for giving newer players a chance, but if Sylvan is going to keep anything resembling their current set of powers (Only Entropy competes, and Entropy's RP make it harder for this sort of team tactics to keep cropping up), then yes, they should damn well have to earn it. They should be watched like Empire.
(As an aside, you have to feel bad for Empire. Below average powers, outnumbered by warders, and having to retrieve in the Grove? Ugh.
> This is by no means meant to knock any Sylvan. They take advantage of what they have, pure and simple, nothing wrong with that. However, I've always thought, next to Troupe, and in certain cases, even above Troupe, Sylvan should be the Elite roleplaying Cabal. PK should run a distant second. As of now it doesn't. Please don't bother arguing that point, I support the Sylvan Cabal as much as anyone, but it's something that I think everyone, if honest with themselves, will see as fact.
Agreed. It's not broken. It just needs a small tuneup.
