I assume you are referring to whether or not we can see your IP address. The only person who can see IP's is Dioxide, and I'm reasonably sure he wouldn't check it unless the poster did something horrendous enough to warrant a ban.

However, when somebody has developed a certain style of posting, and they try to post anonymously, their old self usually shines through. I guess it all depends on your purpose for asking, and what you intend to post. Most people wouldn't be worried about it, unless they intended to do something that would piss alot of people off.
