-Um, well, I haven't played in about a year and a half,
but I have read the forum and here's the extent that
I understand this entire war.

Magic is something that can duplicate everything (in
theory) that Nature can. Now, the Masters believe that
Magic can provide a superior substitute to Nature, and
that Nature is something that is weak and should be
destroyed in order to be replaced. The Sylvans' view
is more of a response to the Masters': These mages are
destroying the forests, liquidate them!

Now, this is oversimplified and might be wrong, but I
don't have time to write a lengthy synopsis of what I
know. In any case, hopefully this is somewhat right,
and if it's not, I'm sure that the normal forum-goers
will be more than happy to correct me.
