The logic behind the theory, from one who's had to state it several times before.:

You may not agree with these, but here is the logic behind the nature vs magic theory.

Nature puts limits on magic, the reason why there is a duration, is because nature obstructs magic. Without nature, magic would require no energy , because there would be nothing to overcome.
For instance, you cannot fly (unless your race can naturally), because gravity holds you down. Without gravity , it would take no energy to fly.
Necromancy requires energy because it is anti-nature, it reverses death, and uses the negative energies to pervert nature and affect it, for instance raising the dead.
Transmuters have a natural form, without nature they would have no form, and therefore would be able to change into any shape at will with no energy put into doing this.
Nature determines where things are and such, with no nature at all, you would be able to traverse great distances in a blink (there would be no friction, no earth, no fire, at least not bound into forms under the laws of physics and nature). Nature and physics are what determine the way things are, without them, you can shape them at will, without any effort. Get the idea?
