but I guess I can give some theories. The post you answered to
was not mine, but it won't stop me :)

I think it can be cool as a second spec, mostly due to IMPALE.
It will not make much sense to have spear as you primary selection,
but if you can impale your opponent so that they lose str, dex, and
get bleeding, then you can switch to your 2 weapon style, and finish
the fight. This is especially powerful if combined with another str
loss spec. Imagine impale + boneshatter (-21 str -21 dex afaik)!
