I'm still trying to figure out why being unhappy or downtrodden
or depressed or whatever morale does to a character would affect
their fighting skills. If I'm in a fight, things like how my day
was going are not a factor. Things like that fade away as soon as
the first blow is thrown. Someone talked about being a character
half dead and how they would react. I seriously doubt someone in
a fight for their life will give a rat's behind about how they've
been treated. Maybe after the fight, they'll feel suicidal or just
depressed. If someone's unhappy, who's to say they can't channel
all the frustration and anger and bad feelings into action and use
those feelings to beat the living hell out of whoever it is attacking
them. One other thing about fighting. If you're using flee as a
tactic and understand it as one, why would your morale go down? That
makes little sense. Since morale is still being tweaked, I'm sure
things will be taken into consideration and hopefully it will be
finished soon.
