I hear this about assassin kicks often, and my response is if you don't want to practice, just don't.

The last time I seriously played an assassin I didn't even pass side kick and I did just fine. In fact, much like lash for conjurers, I think some assassins would do better without the kicks as an option. That's not to say they're not useful, but rather that there's a time and a place for them and that time and place is not "every time I'm fighting and get a command off." I recently saw an assassin who shall remain unnamed spam doublespinkick like mad at a conjurer (who shall also remain unnamed), resulting in the assassin's death.
