With a cabal moden you get a TON of bandwidth but you share said bandwitch with other subscribers. This isnt so bad if you life in a sparsly populated area, but I live on a road that has lots of apartment complexes. and I am in a complex myself..my upstairs neighbor connects the same as I do on PeoplePC, around 48k real connection. But that of course varies.
