Incidentally, traceroutes to the MUD are useless. As are pings. I am assuming there is a firewall in between spintlink and the MUD, maintained by Jullias unless I miss my guess, that is blocking ICMP traffic, which just happens to include traceroute and ping.

I could be way off base but try tracing or pinging while you are connected some time and you will see what I mean.
