FFS people, the game is you living the individual life of a character. Not to get PK GOD, not to be gear hoarder 7582094024. It is to being a journey, experience a journey, to an ultimately defined destination of death. Gear comes and goes, allies come and go, enemies come and goes. The real fun is when you have a decent balance of things where you aren't always overwhelmed and that's why Perma's fuck the game so hard with a low playerbase because they tilt the game too much.

2. Disagree completely - I've played characters who were purposely meant to be assholes and they weren't even evil. In fact one of my past favourite characters was a Fortie who did genuinely good deeds, fought to protect the defenceless, etc, but in doing so it had made him a twisted, bitter asshole. Was fun telling all the holier than thou Forties where to stick it.

What I think you're trying to say is there's a difference between being evil and griefing. The difference where the motive comes from, is it OOC or IC. Griefing is someone purposely trying to upset the player behind the character, like multi-killing or full looting as PacMan said. In this case it MIGHT be griefing but you don't know that and shouldn't assume it.
