At the Altar
You stand before an impressive gold altar draped in gilded silk. The tallest
candelabra are so tall they hardly cast any light down on the main part of the
altar; they only serve to highlight the highest reaches of the altar.
Fortunately, there are more candelabra lower down, which, along with the light
coming through the stained glass window, provide enough light to see the full
magnificence of this altar. The altar and its vicinity are adorned with
generous arrangements of flowers, all in a yellow, gold, white, and orange
spectrum of color. You can exit the temple to the east, while the temple
itself continues to the north and small rooms open to the south and west. Very
young students from a variety of professions ascend and descend a small
staircase that leads down into a bland hallway, too narrow and ordinary for any
but the most unlearned to take an interest.

[Exits: north east south west]
A pit for sacrifices is in front of the altar.
A local citizen in nondescript clothes makes his way through the city.
(White Aura) A radiant woman in a sun-embroidered cassock is here, healing the needy.

The Temple of the Sun
Impressive architecture and design create a sense of awe and radiance here in
the Temple of the Sun. Carefully selected stone bricks with veins of quartz
and gold comprise the walls of the structure. Letting in natural light are
breathtaking stained glass windows depicting symbols of light, sun, and the
greater virtues. Beneath the windows are frescos of scenes telling tales of
heroes of justice and compassion. Several statues also adorn the temple at
even intervals, each perched on an alabaster pedestal that perfectly matches
the columns in the courtyard. Central to all this majesty is a beautiful altar
draped in golden silk and adorned with flowers of every shade of yellow,
white, orange, and gold, in glorious reverence to the powers under the
influence of the sun. An archway to the east leads out into the courtyard.

The Court of Light
This peaceful court precedes the alabaster columns that surround the Temple
of the Sun. In the center of the court is a bubbling fountain surrounded by
some shady trees. Dominating all else is a radiant golden statue that rises
up from the center of the fountain: an elegant elven maiden that gazes down
upon the temple's visitors with eyes fashioned of faceted sunstone that seem
to contain ageless wisdom. Upon her brow is a laurel of golden leaves, and
two outstretched arms pour water into the fountain basin. Several low marble
benches surround the fountain where people can rest and rejuvenate. To the
north lies the lovely park of Galadon, to the east lies the High Road, to
the west you can enter the Temple, and to the south the courtyard continues.

[Exits: north east south west]
A large white fountain gushes forth here.
A cityguard with a youthful gaze patrols the area, helping to keep the peace.

High Road
Comprised of perfectly leveled white stone blocks, the High Road cuts through
the center of Galadon from north to south. The massive Temple of the Sun is
to the west, its broad square welcoming the downtrodden. Along either edge of
the road are large brass posts hung with lanterns used to keep the city lit at
all hours. There is a small transitional patch just north as the smooth stone
shifts into a rough gravel and hard dirt at the Park Road. Further in the
south, the Market Square can be seen.

High Road
Built of perfectly smooth white blocks and free of any stain or imperfection,
the High Road of Galadon is pristine. Towering over the city in the east is
the Spire of the Blood Tribunal, guards coming and going from its courtyard
as their shifts begin and end. The street continues further north towards the
park and south to the Market Square. The calls for donations to help the poor
sound from the west, where the guild of Paladins has been established. There
are volunteers constantly moving about, tending to the needs of the sick and
downtrodden that have huddled within awaiting charity.

High Road
There is a lot of foot traffic from the citizens of Galadon along this point
of the High Road with the hard-packed dirt of the Market Square opening to the
south. At the east edge of the street the entrance of Wilhelm's Wondrous
Where's can be seen, the heavy scent of aged parchment and ink rolling from
within. The entrance of the Garden Bounty sits to the west while the pristine
blocks of white stone lead further north toward the city park. At the edge of
the street there are large brass posts with lanterns hung from them to keep
Galadon lit at all hours.

Market Square
Stretching out in the cardinal directions from this large opening of trampled
dirt are the High and Trade Roads. Laid out across the outer edge of the
square are booths with many cheap goods from the assorted races of Thera. It
seems as if the lesser craftsmen of the hubs of a race come to Galadon in an
attempt to peddle their wares to less knowledgeable and wealthier folk.
Closer to the center of the square, you can see small huddles of beggars and
drunkards who attempt and leverage any piece of copper or charity they can
from the masses.
Leuoa was taunting a villager about honor because many villagers preached to her about honor. If you don't like that RP, that's fine with me. No one ever said anything to her about parity and she never said anything about parity.

Graevnik even kept the conversation about honor and said I didn't deserve any. So, it seems like the characters involved were fine with talking about honor, but you are not.

It is my opinion it's fine for an Entropist to taunt villagers about honor. It's your opinion that it is not. Which of these is not really an opinion?

I completely agree with you, by the way, that some people have trashed the village. You see more Jerry type play than old school pillar worthy type play. And Battle is and has always been my favorite cabal. In fact, if I ever play Battle again I have had thoughts to make it be a super hard core old school mentality type character that will undoubtedly end up being hated for calling folks to the circle for being shitty villagers.

But this is not the log to get on a soapbox about. Is there room for a higher level of villager play? Absolutely, a lot. But, it doesn’t fail village role play either.

The fact remains, Thror himself made the exact same arguments that I'm making now. Let me summarize:

1. Parity is not even remotely close to the same thing as honor.
2. Parity is a matter between Villagers, not between enemies.
3. Parity is not a factor during a Siege, which includes when enemies are at the Village.

The village used to be a place to keep the great Magic’s of the world at bay. A counterweight to the strength that was Masters or even Nexus.

Over the years that has completely changed. The once proud and useful village has become a breeding ground for trolls, griefers, hacks, no RP murderclowns and the like.

Parity was put in place because the powers that the village has (including other factors such as how little a villager needs to be functional. I.E.preps, coin, gear) were meant to be used fighting super-powered mages sporting 3000 bps. Not in making trance-less assassins with less than 1000 hps go splat.

Parity, nowadays means whatever the current rager in the situation wants it to mean. You were on the eastern? Then you were clearly headed to the village and therefore are in need of a village gangbang. You’re traveling with mages as a thief? Well we’ll go ahead and focus on you because you’re “easier” and will go splat quicker. No problem.

The village and their powers and their relative ease about preping and such used to mean something. But now it’s all garbage and anything can be justified by the flimsiest of explanations.

The village, now, is a hollow shell of its former self. I swear to god it’s actually sad. They have all that power and nowhere to aim it, so it’s just devolved into the Cobra Kai of CF but without the cuteness.

A bunch of aimless degenerates who want an easy hero pk situation. No preps needed. No gold needed. I suppose you’ll need a couple of pieces of gear to cover stat loss, but that’s about it. Just get out there and kill. Little oversight. Almost no RP. And anything goes.

If you’ll notice, Java, I’ve mostly dismissed your entire comment. You just like to argue, and quite frankly, I completely tune you out at this point.

Honor has absolutely nothing to do with the Village. Parity is NOT about honor. Ragers are not required to act "honorable" anywhere, ever, under any circumstances.

It doesn't matter WHY you were there. You were at the Village, fighting a Villager. There's no such thing as a dual at the Village. If you want to do that shit, do it somewhere else. Stalking someone at the Village is a risk you're taking, because if they find you there, you're going to get beat down. Stalking isn't some risk-free activity for you.

As far as parity (which is what you SHOULD be referring to, when you said "Honor?"), I have a few questions. 1, Hw does Leuoa even know about parity? 2. WHAT does Leuoa know about parity? 3. Why does Leuoa even care about parity?

If you were stalking someone at the Palace, would you be surprised if two people tried to kill you? The Chasm? The Spire? Obviously not. If you show up at an enemy's cabal, you have no right to expect enemies to stand aside and ignore you.

I disagree that people not in the village can talk about honor IC. It doesn't mean the village has to care, but others can certainly judge them.
Leuoa did take it as a compliment that she didn't deserve honor. I think Graevnik had already been assassinated twice at this point. So, I took it to mean don't expect any breaks/honor when stalking near the village. Neither one of us made a big deal about it and things went on as usual.
The berserker, who was made Commander, walks in on a guy fighting a Villager AT THE VILLAGE, and does exactly what he is required to do: Defends the village. I don't know why you're winking, but I assume it's because you're dumb enough to think you're clever. But if you're fighting at an enemy cabal, you're an absolute idiot if you think people aren't going to fight back.

And none of this is relevant anyways, because "Parity" isn't "Honor" and it has absolutely nothing to do with the enemy's perspective. If parity WAS broken (again, it wasn't), it wouldn't be Leuoa that was the victim of it anyways. It would be Zenabi. HE is the only one who should complain about it and should potentially call Graevnik out for the insult... if parity was broken (yet again, it wasn't).

Leuoa, if he understands anything about Village (note: he clearly doesn't) should take it as a compliment IC. A 2 v 1 (outside of a siege) implies that the Ragers think that's a fair and equal match, which is a compliment to Leuoa's power. Obviously not the case though, but a 2v1 against a powerful opponent is STILL not a parity breach. It's about more than just numbers.

Bottom line: If you're not in the Village, don't even fucking talk about parity or honor or anything else. IC, it has nothing to do with you at all. If you feel like you MUST say something, go with a snarky "Oh, you judge that I'm the worth of two Villagers? I'm flattered." But if you feel the need to tell someone in a cabal that they're playing that cabal wrong.. you're breaking your own role to do it, which makes you just as bad.
