The reasons why it moves clockwise aren't in the shadow only(I didn't focus on the shadow). As we can see, right teat enters the silhouette side first, meaning that it spins to our field of sight first, then followed by the left.

<br>-The foot cuts the height of the other shin higher when it moves from left to right than when it moves from right to left. This means that it is in fron in right to left motion, making the movement clockwise.

<br>There are too many small details that only make sense in clockwise motion. I don't see how you can make it anticlockwise.
