It does seem like the UK and America have been pushing towards anti-smoking policies with the smoking bans in clubs/pubs etc. in some areas. God forbid they actually ban smoking entirely, it would be like 1920s prohibition all over again. Plus, it would raise unemployment. I agree with you completely on freedom though and as for premature death, the world is heading for massive overpopulation in some areas anyhow.
