I'm currently doing a Bachelor of Applied Science; Food Technology and Nutrition, and I know a fair bit about weight training. So I get a lot of questions on how to gain/lose weight, what routines are best, how often to workout, how long to work out, what suppliments to take, etc.

What people fail to understand is it's 70% your diet, 20% rest, and 10% the exercise you do.

You could have the best routine in the world, push yourself harder than anyone, but if you don't eat correctly you won't grow (or shed fat, depending on your goals).

Conversely, if you have a sucky ass routine, but eat like a horse, you'll stack the muscle on. At least for a time. After a certain point your routine becomes more important.

Dunno where I'm going with this post really, just a annoyance of mine that people will work their butts off in the gym, and I respect that, but then ignore all the advice I give about their diet and see their efforts go to waste.
