What you describe sounds like a trigger which is something different entirely (and more abusable). Chase triggers, for example, are highly frowned upon (or illegal?).

<br>All the "targeting system" does is let you change the contents of an alias (your "kill" alias) in a very simple way.

<br>here's how mine looks:

<br>tar goblin (the alias that defines my variable)
<br>Variable "target" set to: goblin
<br>k (my "kill alias" which the mud will now read as "kill goblin")
<br>
<br>so everytime I type in K, the mud will read "kill goblin".

<br>Therefore you can easily spam to hit somebody. This is useful also for making all your targeted spells or abilities hit one target. IE you can make cyclone always target whatever your variable is defined to. Or trip. Or bash. Ect. You could spam "t", a trip alias for example, and the mud would read "trip goblin" or whatever your variable is set to.
